Junior H: A Rising Star in the Corridos Scene
Junior H, also known as Antonio Herrera Prez, is a prominent figure in the modern Mexican corridos movement, particularly among Gen-Z. Originating from Cerano, Guanajuato, he moved to the U.S. a decade ago, blending traditional corridos with elements of trap and alternative music. He has become recognized for his emo-infused style, often portraying a "sad boy" persona in his work, which resonates with many fans.
Junior H co-initiated the corridos tumbados trend in 2020 and has continued to innovate, as seen in his recent album, $ad Boyz 4 Life II. His latest single, "Culpable," showcases a blend of saxophone-driven pop and bolero, reflecting his versatility beyond traditional corridos. Currently on his $ad Boyz Live & Broken Tour in the U.S., he expresses gratitude for his loyal fan base, emphasizing his commitment to representing Mexico in the music industry. Additionally, he has launched the Sad Boyz Clothing line, further intertwining his music and fashion endeavors.
